Care + Responsibility = Quality

Quality is the strategic factor for success that dictates our everyday thinking and work. The people working at heba take every step in the process chain with enormous care and an awareness of their responsibility. Only when care defines how we do our day-to-day work on products made from aluminum die casting can meet todays quality management standards.

Our quality department uses state-of-the-art testing and measuring equipment to check and document the production. That starts with an examination of the raw materials, continues with in-process checks and follows through to the final product check. But that’s not all. Our workers check each and every machine and product during production and they are backed up by standardized testing plans and work instructions.

Our company also has a wide variety of equipment to carry out this regular program of testing. We mainly use the alloys 226, 229, 231 and Magsimal 59 and apply spectral analysis to check the quality of the raw aluminum materials including analysis of the melt.

Using an x-ray machine at heba certifies homogenous casting quality. This technology uncovers particularly course tension cracks or pores that can be corrected immediately. But we also use braking tests on our tension testing machine to determine whether the components meet the mechanical properties that are required.

Something else that has to be maintained at all costs is the dimensions the customer has ordered. And this is the reason why our testing department uses 3-D coordinate measuring machines to check and document the final dimensions of parts in as-cast or machined condition. These measuring machines are CNC-controlled for printing out a very detailed testing report. At heba, accuracy is the measure of all things.
